Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Seacoast Swimming Association, you will lead swimming programs, giving both individual and group lessons to children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students at who have a strong love for swimming, exceptional communication abilities, and the talent to motivate young swimmers and foster a love and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Swim Instructor to become part of our team and help at our Seacoast Swimming Association in Seekonk, MA.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction for students of varying ages and skill levels
• Maintain a safe and positive learning atmosphere for all students
• Evaluate and track student progress, offering feedback and support as necessary
Requirements
• Experience working with students of different ages and abilities, preferably in an instructional or educational environment
• Proficient swimming skills and knowledge of different swim strokes and techniques
• Profound understanding of water safety and survival skills
• Certification in CPR & First Aid (infant, child & adult)
• Exceptional communication, organization, time management, and creative teaching abilities
• Strong behavior management skills, with the capacity to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
• Background in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous, showcasing an understanding of working with children in a structured setting
• A genuine love and passion for both swimming and children!
